Alcopoper #1 Posted April 22, 2005 I experineced something quite funny last night palying T2k. Usually there is no problem with the sound - no matter how much is going on on the screen, you always hear the sound (your shots, explosions etc.) no sound is covered by another sound. Second, once you finished a level and you are "zooming" out of the web, you can't crash into anything, right? Of course I tried to collect the extras on my way out ("yes yes yes"), and that works. Shooting somebody? no, does not work. and it is not necessary, since usually enemies don't shoot you anymore. Flying "through" an enemy? not a problem. Ok, last night, I had issues with the sound. The entire game "sounded" strange. I did not hear all my shots anymore when there were explosions going on. Additionally, and that was the strangest thing ever, I got shot while I was zooming out of a web. Just like that. Boooom. What's your experience? I have NEVER seen/heard that before. Is it a bug or just me?

But if you're exiting a level normally, after shooting all the enemies, you're still fair game, and those spikes are killers. As for the sound problem, I'd also recommend cleaning the cartridge contacts, and also check to see if you're having sound issues with any other game, or with anything else connected to that same television or stereo. I never gave it a second thought though because the sound came back after that. A tiny little thing considering (in my opinion) that Tempest 2000 is one of the greatest videogames ever made created by an evil genius that I worship! Well, that's my two cents.
