Huge Video Game Tag Sale - 5/14/05

Recommended Posts

Yes, that’s right, I’m selling everything. No, I’m not getting out of the hobby by any means, I just need to trim down my collection and this is the easiest way.

Where: 71 Union St.

Bridgewater, MA

When: 11:00 am – 6:00 pm

Saturday, May 14th

What: Everything!

To get an idea of the enormity of this event, take a look at my collection photos.

Some items I am more attached to than others, and obviously will cost more, however most of it can be had at extremely low prices, well below DP value. Stuff on my trade list will be especially cheap, sometimes even free!

NOTE: Please do not contact me asking for private sales/trades until after 5/14.

Part of the reason I’m doing this is that I can’t even keep track of what I have anymore so don’t expect me to list everything out for you. To give you a better idea of what’s for sale, here are some rough estimates of quantities of games by system (not including duplicates!):

Good luck with your sale. It is way to far away from me to check out the stuff. If after 5/14 you have any Colecovision or TurboGrafx games available that I don't have I would be interested. If you have Spiker Volleyball for the Intellivision I would be willing to pay $125 for a looose copy.

You're probably going to end up with nobody there except eBay resellers.

If, after the sale's over with, you still have those Laseractive disks..... I'd love to get a couple of them. I only have a couple games for my Laseractive, and only the Sega LD module. If your stuff doesn't end up on eBay, I'd like to buy some games from you.

Hi there.. would you be interested in those laseractive disks if I marked them up a little to offset my gas costs?! I'm considering driving up to get some goodies for myself. I live in NJ and Mass would be about a 5 hour drive for me ONE way. I've never been there before, so I'm sure to get lost. LOL!

I'm gonna see if 2 or 3 people would want me to do the same thing and that'll cover my gas and food costs.

Mapquest says 4 hours 21 minutes, but I think it'll be a little bit longer based on other people I've been asking.

If I leave at 4am I can get there by 10am say.

Again, this is in the prelim stages of thought. Not totally sure if I am gonna do it.

You would pay $125 for a loose copy?! What about $135 or $140?! Here's why I ask:

There won't be much left for them after myself and the other rabid NECG folks get there. I wouldn't worry about it.

I wanted some Laseractive games, but I wasn't planning on spending a lot on them. It depends on how much they'll cost. Keir, any idea how much you'll be pricing them?

Keir, would you mind if I sold refreshments on the front lawn? Sounds like you are going to get quite a crowd. I know I'll probably be the first one there considering that I live 5 minutes away.

Hey, all. Only 2 days away!

Just to clarify this is a tag sale, which is like a yard sale but it’s inside. Also, it’s a semi-private sale. I’ve sent out emails and advertised on a bunch of message boards, but there won’t be any people coming in off the street to buy stuff. So, basically what I’m saying is I’m not expecting hordes of people. In fact, so far only 5 people have told me they’re definitely coming (which is good for those of you who are coming :) ).

I do not have Spiker Volleyball. The rarest Intellivision game I have is Congo Bongo.

This is what I have for Laseractive games, and some preliminary prices. That means that I will definitely sell for these prices, but you might be able to talk me down too. Some (I forget which) are missing the spine card, otherwise all are complete.

Ghost Rush $75

Goku $90

Hi-Roller Battle $35 (disc has small crack, but seems to work fine)

Hyperion $40

I Will $35

Pyramid Patrol $30

Rocket Coaster $40

Triad Stone $60

@ yuppicide, if you’re seriously considering coming, please PM or email me and let’s talk about what kind of stuff you’re looking for. I’d love to have you come, but I’d also hate to have you drive all this way and be disappointed.

Whoa, too rich for my blood. I'm saving up cash for OVGE, otherwise I'd love to get some of those. But not as high as they are. I mean, I paid $40 for Rocket Coaster brand new. Triad Stone and Hi-Roller Battle are really the only ones I'm interested in. I guess I'll need to save up a little more, for when I come across some Laseractive games locally.

Well, my sale was both a success and a failure. It was a failure due to the incredibly low turnout, the fact that I only got rid of about 1% of all my stuff, and the fact that hardly anyone showed up (oh, did I mention that already? ;) )

However, I still consider it a success because I did have a lot of fun spending time with the few people who turned up. So thank you to those people (you know who you are). 8-) Oh, and the fact that I'm now $615 richer doesn't hurt either.

I'm now open to trades and sales by mail, but please note that I'm no longer trying to get rid of everything. Just most of it. If you emailed me in the past few weeks about stuff I will get back to you soon (one at a time). Here are pictures of some of the stuff that I still have left:

Keir
