TailChao #1 Posted April 25, 2005 After recently returning from a stay in florida, I'd like to announce to you all that I am the proud new owner of an Atari Jaguar, conveniently in box. Hopefully I'll be able to tinker with coding for the beastie (I've always loved the 68k, so this should be fun). But anywho, I wouldn't just start this topic just to talk about my new Jag. The store that I bought it at had more. Lots more. Boxed Jaguars on the counter Another Shot of said jags Up on display The owner was selling them for $40 each, but I was able to knock him down to 35 and there are still five left! If any of you are interested or in the area, the shop is located on Lincoln Road in South Beach. Hope some of you can get one of these fine machines! Just make sure you check for Cybermorph in the box before you leave, mine was missing it and I had to walk back and grab a copy.

Elthesh #4 Posted April 25, 2005 What else did they have there besides the boxed Jaguars? Any other old stuff or was the Jaguar it? What type of store too, it looks like an electronics store.
TailChao #5 Posted April 25, 2005 What else did they have there besides the boxed Jaguars? Any other old stuff or was the Jaguar it? What type of store too, it looks like an electronics store. 843296[/snapback] They had a few boxed GB/SMS/SNES/GENESIS games and a couple of GBA pirate carts and a few Game Genies (Boxed as well) for GB and Genesis IIRC. I grabbed a copy of Galactic Pinball for VB, but I don't think there were any more VB games worth metioning. The store is a miscelaneous electronics store, they had everything from an old 486 IBM thinkpad to a PSP, and several televisions and walkmans. It's most recogniseable by the jaguar sitting in the display window.

I've already got 2 jaguars, so no need for anyone to rush and get em before me, lol. I just wanna see the other goodies. On a side note, I remember the Beyond Electronics store near me at a mall that had an absolutely FILTHY 3DO FZ10 boxed with the ORIGINAL 599 pricetag on it. They wanted 100 for this disgusting unit. It looked like it was dragged from a swamp. They had it for 4 or 5 years till about 2002 or 2003. Of course this has nothing to do with the south beach store, but it popped into my head for some odd reason. So there ya go. lol

82-T/A #8 Posted May 28, 2005 That's pretty cool, do you remember what the name of the store was? Lincoln Road isn't too big... was it through the "strip" part of lincoln road? (the part where you can't drive) or was it actually on the road? I was always a big Atari fan when I was a kid... when I moved to Florida in 1996... I remembered seeing lots and lots of video game stores like... KB Toys, or Electronics Boutique had hundreds of Atari Jaguars brand new in the box. There was one toy store which was actually bought by KB Toys... I don't remember the name, but they were selling NIB Jaguars for $20 bucks... They were selling off their games for like $5 dollars a piece. I bought as many new Jaguars as I could carry... I think I got like 8 of them (I had a friend with me) and about 20 or so games. I was just a punk, right out of high school.. and I think I blew a little bit too much cash... ahah.. at the time, I seem to remember that our power was cut off.. my roommate was pissed! hahaha.. almost 10 years later (damn... ) I'm married now, and for whatever reason, I don't have anywhere near that many. I've got TWO.. in the box unopened... and you can be sure they're not going anywhere....
bookpile #9 Posted May 30, 2005 Any chance of someone picking one up for me? I've been looking for a Jaguar. Thanks Travis
82-T/A #10 Posted May 30, 2005 I see them on eBay all the time, they don't go for much... Another awesome system that's cheap as hell that no one wants is the Dreamcast. I just got one for $35 bucks in the box!

Hope that helps!

I always just figured that it was some sort of weird looking Bus Stop. It's very "Deco Drive" looking...
