How do YOU play Astroblast?

if I'm not mistaken I've reached the 60k mark.. I think that with joystick I've hardly reacked 30k.. definitely have to try it again soon to confirm that!

I've finally found the time (and will!) to try my hand again at Astroblast, and I confirm I've reached the 60k mark.. actually I've just went a bit further

 

Anyway I still had quite a few lives left (49), but didn't really feel like going on playing.. my thumb hurts already!

 

From the picture you'll also likely be able to awe at what an horrible picture I'm betting out of my jr lately.. increased magnetic fields?

But.. I fear Twin Galaxies' means of verification have quite high requirements:

Digital photos are not accepted because anybody can alter them.

I really don't feel like taping the gameplay and submitting it.. but maybe I'll make a DVD later on

I thought they where only that strict for the #01 spot. No one would fake a screenshot to get the #04 position

Todd's score is based upon a photograph he took back in the early 80's. Since there is no proof of him going onward (which he says he did), I posted his final score as the one I have proof for. Should Todd decide to surpass 1M on VHS, I'll post whatever score he finally settles at. Mind you, that can only happen on the proto cart he has. The rest of us have to settle for 999,990. And no, I will not track his Proto score with all other "normal production cart" scores.

Paddles are definitely better for this game! It's like the difference between Breakout/Super Breakout and Off the Wall. This kind of thing isn't meant for a joystick! (Hmm... I wonder what Space Invaders would be like if you could use paddles with it... )
