Sully70 #1 Posted April 30, 2005 I'm curious as to how much having the manual increases the worth of the games. Unlike most items, I've noticed having the manual doesn't really increase bid prices all that much on e-Bay, except for the rarer games. Nintendo games with manuals seen to go for at least 25% higher in most cases, but 2600 games do not follow this pattern. Anybody agree or disagree? ATARIPITBULL #2 Posted May 4, 2005 (edited) I agree, only when you are dealing with a rare 2600 game, does the manual make it sell for more with out the box. I have a loose copy of Crazy Climber with its manual and it will sell for more money than with out it, on Ebay. :!: Edited May 4, 2005 by ATARIPITBULL
mos6507 #3 Posted May 4, 2005 Personally, I don't like owning carts without manuals, especially when you are talking about the early narrow Warner Communicatins ones. Manuals are a big part of the charm for me. I'm probably in the minority, though.
Zwackery #4 Posted May 4, 2005 I like manuals and boxes, and I prefer to "complete" bare carts with them when possible.

I've bought countless rarities w/manual just for the manual and then sold the cart off at a later time. Most often I take a $5-$10 loss in the long run but it's worth it to me. I have nearly every 2600 manual and they rule! Boxes take up way too much space!
