Dangit Nintendo -- BRING ON THE PUZZLES

Recommended Posts

So EGM had a "Top 10 Cult Classics", and $5 was Tetris Attack.

What's next: Nintendo still has no plans to release its Puzzle Collection in the U.S. Boo!

Boo indeed! Those jerks!!! I want 4 player Tetris Attack! I want to stop toting around both GC and SNES or GC and N64 to my buddy's just 'cause Tetris Attack / Pokemon Puzzle League is THE GAME.

I love Nintendo but sometimes the BUG THE LIVING CRAP right out of me. So much crapware out there, and they can't be bothered to spend the week to put out some of the greatest games ever.

I don't think we will ever see an update to this game. I remember reading an interview in ign64 long time ago that suggested the game didn't sell too well when it came out.

Asses... and to think it could have been done on the Jaguar and then properly licensed.

I think the game would sell well on the PSP.... @ $29.99 I'd buy it!

If it didn't sell well on the Nintendo 64 you'd better believe it wouldn't have sold well on the Jaguar 64!

I really liked this game and would also love to see it again on PSP or DS. If not, I"ve still got my N64 cartridge ... and the great soundtrack in MP3 format!

Yeah, I love the Tetrisphere soundtrack, and once you get the hang of the game, it is addictive.

That initial learning curve is pretty steep though. Once you make it past that point its all mad skill baby. :D

Hex.

[ Logged about a week of 5-7 hr. binge sessions of Tetrisphere... ]

I think the point was that if it had been released on the Jaguar as originally expected, the developer could have retained the rights to the game, which meant we could've seen conversions of the game produced for Saturn, PlayStation, PC, or other platforms (including current and future systems). Since Nintendo tied up the exclusive rights to the game (and further complicated matters by pasting the Tetris name to it...a name that they no longer have the rights to use), the chances of ever seeing another version of this game in the future are close to nil. That is what people are lamenting.

My sister, tired of waiting for the puzzle collection, has told me to find her a copy while I'm in Japan in a couple weeks.

Can't blame her-Nintendo not having Dr. mario on a system? What's up with that?

I would got nucking futz for a four-player Tetris Attack. If I had two more friends. :(

It's so irritating. My love for Nintendo has decreased with this system. Been siphoned off to Xbox though I still love Nintendo more. My feelings of affection for Sony are begrudging.

The SNES Tetris Attack, ported to the GBA, with 4-player link cable action using one cart, would have been totally doable, and totally awesome. :(

If it came out that way for the DS, with wireless multiplayer, I'd be there...
