I'll trade you games for some cereal

Recommended Posts

Yes seriously cereal.

Specifically I'm looking for Frankenberry cereal made by General Mills. It has not been available here (Canada) since I was four and I'm dying for it.

So how much is Frankenberry worth? Just PM me if it's available in your area and we'll work something out. Maybe 2 boxes for 3 games? 5 boxes for the lot? I don't know, some pretty good and hard to find titles here though for NES and Genesis.

NES

Rescue Rangers

Felix the Cat

Talespin

Star Trek 25th

Genny

Where in time is Carmen Sandiego?

Where in the world is CS?

Barbie (triple A gameplay!)

World Championship Soccer

(Trades for games also accepted, but right now Franekberry preferred)

LMK,

Thanks ;)

GM will send you a case (for a price) if you send them a request by email.. we did that at work several years ago but never went through with it...

I miss that shit too.. I don't think it is available in Michigan anymore either, which was the last option for me..

Ah I know how you feel... There are several varieties of the "limited time only" food that I miss from my childhood.. Let me know if contacting the company doesn't work.

I've noticed that some places carry the "monster" cereals seasonally - especially BooBerry - whereas others tend to stock them year round. (Personally I'm more of a BooBerry type o' guy.)

Next time I'm in the grocery store I'll take a look and see if they still sell that (nasty) stuff here. If they do I'll pick some up for you.

I was going to write General Foods and ask for any packets they had left of Mountain Berry Punch Kool-Aid...the best flavor ever made. I never got around to it. :)

The next time I'm at a local Marc's store I'll check for a box or two for you, but don't get your hopes up...

Any Albertsons in Broward county will have FB, CC, & BB cereal, I wish i could get turkeyhill iced tea in florida. That costs me $70 to have shipped from PA to FL for 4 containers.

Count Chocula, as in most places, is here year round. FrankenBerry, and whatever the other one is called, is only out here for a month. That month is October (whod thunk it?)

I remember as a kid my fingers were always stained red from swirling them in the koolaid bags and then licking my fingers. Koolaid reminds of pixy sticks.

how does one insert a pic as a thumbnail ?

Well, I cannot believe these cereals are so HTF. Check your local Walmart. All of them around me carry all 3 (FB,BB,CC) year around. :)

There was a fourth "monster" cereal, but can't remember it, do anyone here remembers the name/monster?

The first three were Count Chocula, Franken Berry, and Boo Berry

Wow! That is crazy! Do they ship it in dry ice or something?! Turkeyhill is everywhere here (New Jersey) because I'm so close to their plant in PA. They have Turkeyhill stores in PA as well.

Not sure if Frankenberry is available near me anymore. I like Count Chocoula myself.

I want NERDS cereal to come back!

Count Chocula, Franken Berry, Boo Berry, Fruit Brute, and Yummy Mummy.

NERDS cereal sounds truly awful. :D I must be getting old...I like Rice Chex now and save Cinnamon Toast Crunch for the occasional dessert...

Wow I never heard of Fruit Brute. That's a pretty cool site.

NERDS cereal was my all time favorite. It had two sides to the box just like real Nerds. One flavor in each side of the box. Both in their own stay fresh packages.

I wonder if this had anything to do with the disappearance of Nerds cereal:

LOL! I found that while searching Google just now. It just says "Nerds Cereal and Red Stools" from 1988. Lots of food leaves you with a red stool sample.

Haha, yeah I definitely believe that.. If you check a recent article on x-entertainment.com you'll see something about the smurfs cereal making people have blue crap.. That's definitely a shade I never want to experience :-\

Whoah. Strange that this thread is back. As an update I still have all those titles and have yet to acquire the cereal, so still looking ;)

Heh... funny. I actually asked someone here to pick me some up last September. I ended up getting like 5 boxes each of Frankenberry and Booberry. Shipping was a bit of a bitch, but it was worth it to get those cereals again.

They've changed though. Other than the packaging I mean -- the oaty bits are a different shape, and even the marshmallows are different. Still tastes good though. :-)

Booberry still tastes the same, but somehow Frankenberry is different.

I can't say that any of it has produced a rainbow bowel movement though...

I know of one that cereal that is almost identical taste-wise to the Frankenberry stuff (according to my parents anyways); Kellogg's "Robots" promotional cereal based on the movie. You can get it at Price Chopper for $2 a box.
