Gabriel #1 Posted May 5, 2005 Yesterday I gave my PS2 Atari Anthology disc a lot of use. Mainly, I played a lot of Millipede, but I dipped into quite a few other games. One of them was Stellar Track, which is an Atari 2600 version of the popular, old-school Star Trek freeware text game. I've always enjoyed this particular game and have played it on a variety of computers. My favorite version was one for the C-64 which came complete with cool color graphics and semi-passable sound effects. Does anyone know of a Windows version of this game? I know the Scott Adams adventure series has survived to be played in a Windows incarnation. It would be a shame if Star Trek didn't make it as well. There's a windows graphical version with added features called StarFleet Deluxe. Do a search on it. It was programmed by a guy named Trevor Sorenson who was co-writing it with a friend. Apparently, the friend died in an accidednt and Dr Sorenson released the game for free. Very fun stuff, with a lot of added depth.
ubersaurus #3 Posted May 6, 2005 You can also look into EGA Trek, which I personally play the hell out of if I still have the zip file on my computer at home, I'll see about sending it to you.
Bruce Tomlin #4 Posted May 6, 2005 It's not the same unless you type it in yourself. Um, and save it to cassette tape.
