Cybergoth #1 Posted May 9, 2005 Hi there! Sorry if this has already been posted elsewhere, but I just saw that play.com has these upcoming GBA titles listed: Pong + Asteroids + Yars Revenge Breakout + Centipede + Warlords Superbreakout + Millepede + Lunar Landing Marble Madness + Klax Gauntlet + Rampart Paper Boy + Rampage Spyhunter + Supersprint Interesting, or? Greetings, Manuel
ninjarabbit #2 Posted May 9, 2005 Looks like a rip off considering Activision put 40 games on 1 GBA cart. Paying $20-30 for two or three 20 year old games is not that good of an idea.
Lord Helmet #3 Posted May 9, 2005 Yep, sounds like a ripoff since all of those will fit on a single cart.

yuppicide #5 Posted May 9, 2005 I would not buy it with 2-3 games.. with 30 or 40 games, sure.

atarilovesyou #9 Posted May 10, 2005 JUNK...when compared to Activision Anthology, which is crammed with great stuff. Those days of 2 or 3 carts may have worked ten years ago, but not now. I won't waste my time!...I just picked up the Activision Anthology at Walmart brand new for GBA sp, it was part of a bundle with Konami Collection and a holder...picked it up just for the Anthology which is kinda tricky to find lately, at least without having to order it online...I see what you all mean about the Pitfall time issue...oh well, with so many games, it's a good trade off. PongHit #10 Posted May 10, 2005 I don't get it -- how did (the new) Atari end-up owning Spyhunter?? -ph
Spud #11 Posted May 10, 2005 I had to go to Radio Shack today and they had Atari Classics for Palm OS there. It had 6 games from the 2600.
King_Salamon #12 Posted May 10, 2005 Perhaps these 2 and 3 in one carts will be dirt cheap? I'd go for $4.99 a pop for these! Knowing the way they'll charge.. it'll be $19.99 or so. Too much... I'll stick with a FB 2.0. Hey Atarilovesyou - where abouts are ya? Canada or the US? I'd like to get one of those Activision/Konami multipacks for the GBA! I have a DS and simple arcade games are awesome for the bus ride to work!
Vic George 2K3 #13 Posted May 11, 2005 Atari Anthology for the GBA would be a better ticket.

The Konami one can be found pretty much anywhere, but Toys r Us is where I see it most.
Nostalgic #15 Posted May 16, 2005 Is there any word as to whether these are emulations or recreations? If the latter, will there be any sort of enhanced mode? (Perhaps Yars' Revenge could also include the old GBC version?) As for the cost, $20 for three games may seem a bit much, but that's more games than the NES rereleases (one per cart), and close to some other arcade packs (Konami = 6, Pac-Man = 4). jlh2600 #16 Posted May 21, 2005 Shootfire! I just got the Activision Anthology Remix for PC, had no CLUE they had it for GBA. Still, if its as cheap, and I find it in the wallyworld bin, maybe I'll go for it. Does it have Demon Attack (Imagic, but it was on the AARemix)
jlh2600 #17 Posted May 21, 2005 (edited) So I am reading about the GBA Activision Anthology, and I can't figure out whether it has demon attack or not. This reviewer specified that the PS2 version does not have it: "Due to some licensing issues, Atlantis and Demon Attack -- two Imagic games -- have been removed from the PS2 Activision Anthology..." http://gameboy.ign.com/articles/445/445805p1.html What's the deal with that? This was a review of the GBA A.A., not PS. Wonder why he said that, and if that title list is even accurate? Demon Attack IS on the PC version- I thought Imagic was a subsidiary. Hmm. I would looove to be able to go portable with Demon Attack. The two games are obviously ripoffs, but I would almost pay it for spyhunter alone. Room 34 #18 Posted May 21, 2005 GBA Activision Anthology does not have any Imagic games on it. (I wish it did!)
Room 34 #19 Posted May 21, 2005 Pong + Asteroids + Yars RevengeBreakout + Centipede + Warlords Superbreakout + Millepede + Lunar Landing Marble Madness + Klax Gauntlet + Rampart Paper Boy + Rampage Spyhunter + Supersprint So are these based on the arcade games or 2600, or a combination? I would've assumed arcade, but then what's Yars' Revenge doing in there?
