Red 5 #1 Posted May 9, 2005 I built a MAME cab and (for now) have a X-Arcade stick (2 player) mounted on it. It works great and I love it, but I have no spinner. Some games (Tempest, Major Havok, Arkanoid, etc.) obvioulsy really need a spinner to play well. My question is this... Can I use the Stelladaptor with the atari 2600 driving controller as a spinner? I'm sure I probably can but I guess the real question is, can I use the driving controller AND the X-Arcade stick at the same time? I would like to have it set up so it recognizes the driving controller AND the X-Arcade stick at the same time. In other words, once it's set up, I would like to be able to play PacMan with the X-Arcade stick then switch to Tempest and use the driving controller without having to change any settings. Is that possible? (I am running MAME32 completely dedicated on a Windows 2000 machine, if that matters.)
Dones #2 Posted May 9, 2005 (edited) Yes you can. MAME accepts multiple joystick configurations. You can assign a global controller config, but you can have different configs for specific games so you can do exactly what you just said. You'll need some time and patience to get it just the way you like it though To learn more head over easyemu.com for a tutorial: http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/mameguide...econtrolini.htm Edited May 9, 2005 by Dones
