repairing amstrad gx4000 controller port

HI all, I am looking on advice on how to repair a controller port on a Amstrad GX4000 and where to get the 9 pin port from. The reason I ask is cause I got a bag of 9 pin game ports but the GX4000 are different as the solder pins come straight down from the port, not out straight.

 

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I haven't seen any Amstrad machines at all, so I could be wrong. If this DB9 connector is mounted to the PCB, then it sounds like you may need a right-angle DB9 connector.
