Games that crack you up?

What games (if any) make you laugh when you play them?

 

For me, its Coconuts (Telesys). Of course the point of the game is absurd, but the thing that gets me is that cheeky monkey. He just sits up there happy as can be, chirping away, dropping coconuts on your head. The more he drops the faster he chirps (and vibrates!!). Then if he hits you, it only incites more and faster coconuts and chirping! I love it. I plug it in just for that.

For me it was Gopher. We bought that game at the grocery store for $5 when I was a little kid. I thought it was hilarious hitting that little guy over the head with my shovel.

Funny how the game eventually landed itself in a hole...in the desert in Arizona. HA! HA! Anyone else ever hear about this?

 

Back to the Topic:

 

I usually get a kick out of Freeway. My wife gets really ticked off if I am winning and she points out how "stupid" my chicken looks as it narrowly escapes from one car after another...

What game made me crack up. Hmmm... Be honest, I can't think of one. Oh yeah, Snoopy and the Red Baron. Being a huge Charles Schulz freak, I loved that the game was released (although I never owned it.. I only played it on an emulator).

 

Why is it the people I admire die early in the year? First Charles Schulz, then Dave THomas (The Wendy's guy, not the hoser). BUt that's a discussion for off topic.

Fat ALbert is so funny. It's just a fun little cartoon game, and then you get a game over. Then a scrolling ad for jell-o comes up. How could you not laugh.

Mr. Do kinda made me laugh sometimes. I mean, what's a clown doin' underground with monsters chasing after him? And what's he doin' pushing abnormally large apples on top of them? It's crazy I tell ya!

The Dragonfire lair is quite good for entertaining company.

 

First of all, you're hiding in a barrel. How silly is that? If you pop out of there for just a second, the dragon lunges at you. Eeep! "Run away, RUN AWAY!" So you pop back in. Wash, rinse, repeat.

 

Once you've worked up enough bravery, you get to run around like mad to scoop up the prizes while dodging a ridiculous onslaught of fireballs, until your poor little guy gets "scrambled" by a hit. More voiceovers here: "ooh-ahh-eeh-whoaaa mustn't..get..hit..musn't...touch whoop!"

 

All of this within in just a few seconds of play. It's practically a slapstick construction set.

Sky Diver. As a child I would refuse to open the chute just to hear the SPLAT and see them end up in the dirt.

Eggomania and King Kong get me giggling for some reason. Come to mention it, all the U.S. games WERE really ammusing. Lost luggage (Apollo) too, is bizzare.

If I start playing I'm addicted. I love it when it goes "BURP!" and makes that sound that's supposed to be a Burp.

 

I love the game so much I'm creating an updated version.

Most 2-player games. Some of the best of these are Ice Hockey, Joust and Warlords. An inordinate quantity of beer/wine should also be consumed to assist with the mindless hilarity

Human Cannonball; the splat is the only thing making it playable. Although there is a variation of it on the web for PDA's to play. How ghetto.......

 

The whole concept of Yars revenge humors me. Its even funnier now that I know it was about Ray Kassar. Halloween is a riot too. Have to giggle at Knight on the Town, too
