Sports games

This is an area of gaming that I can spend hours (if not days) enjoying. There are simply SO many good sports games - Super Football, Home Run, Basketball, RS Soccer.....

 

I think though, my favourite must be Activision's Ice Hockey. This game is entertaining in both 1 and 2 player modes.

 

Could anyone ask for more?

Oh Boy!! I hate Sports, every kind of it!!!

But besides that i enjoy playing Sports-Games on my

2600!

 

Yep, there are many good ones... I would say

California Games is the best if you will count that in!

 

Double Dunk, Super Football, RS Boxing and RS Tennis

are great too.

 

Oh... and even RS Volleyball is much better than i had

expected! I thought it would be a crap game, but after

i fired it up for the first time i was really surprised how

much fun it was and still is!!

 

So i think Sport can be really Ok... as long as it is

played on the TV-Screen!

Atari has some really nice (and gleefully simple) sports games.

Super Football and RS Boxing are my top favorites. The original Basketball was fun too, and Bowling is still great.

If you think BMX is a sport, then BMX Air Raider I think is tops. I don't even like BMX and I frequently play the game on Stella. I love trying to go for the ultimate half pipe trick. Te highest point total I got was I think 4100 with a couple 720's and 4 wheel bounces with 720's in between. I can't believe how addictive this game is.

Other than that I really don't care for the sports games as they are none too realistic.

Oops! I forgot to mention Decathlon!! I love this Game!

I killed a few Joysticks with it... Guess it´s the most

exhausting Game for the 2600, both for the Player and

for the Joystick.

Well i hate to say it as much as i love ATARI. but the sports games for the 2600 really dont do much for me im a big time sports fan and and lke my sports games to look and play like real life. Thats the only part of classic gameing i dont like and the only reason i own a playstation is to play sports games

Hockey: Ice Hockey

 

I also enjoy Golf, Bowling, RS Volleyball and RS Tennis...

 

Just wish I could play against a human sometime...
