Gregory DG #1 Posted December 28, 2001 Does anyone out there have these? I'm working on a new project concerning SwordQuest and I want to make sure I stick to the existing story. The only site out there that I thought might have them is http://www.tripoint.org/sq/sq.html but that site is gone... If you have the comics, I'd really appreciate it if you could tell me where to find them and/or email them to me at [email protected] Thanks!
Albert #2 Posted December 28, 2001 I have them all scanned, they will be going online here soon. They're a bit too large to email around, though. I haven't finished going through them all to convert them from the 200dpi scans I created to something a bit more reasonable that I can sling about the web or email with ease. How soon do you need them? ..Al
Scott Stilphen #3 Posted December 28, 2001 You can access a copy of it at the internet archive site: www.archive.org I asked Walter why the site was down - he was having some trouble with his ISP and hopes to have the site up soon. Gregory DG #4 Posted December 28, 2001 I've tried a few archives from archive.org, but I was only able to get the covers and the first pages. None of the comic pages actually yielded any results. I need them just as soon as possible. I have some great ideas for this story and I want to strike while the iron is still hot!

I had been working on the various Atari Force comics, but I can turn my attention at getting the Swordquest games done first. I can probably put those three online this weekend. ..Al
Ze_ro #6 Posted December 28, 2001 Woohoo! I've been looking forward to seeing scans of the comics for a while now... then I can actually make some attempt to play Earthworld, which has been sitting in my collection unplayed for about a year Fireworld's there too... but I'm not as eager to play it after hearing that it's generally worse than Earthworld.. --Zero

Ze_ro #8 Posted December 29, 2001 They have to be of at least some help... after all, the games are completely unplayable without them! (As opposed to just play crappy with the comics) --Zero
Scott Stilphen #9 Posted December 29, 2001 All the comics are good for is helping to decipher the clues found in the game. If there's ANYTHING in the comics that helps you to find the clues, I'd love to know what it is.

Been working feverishly to get the Lynx section online (it's close!) and then we're going to catch up on some backlogged content like the comic scans. Must focus on this Lynx stuff so we can get it out of the way. ..Al
StanJr #13 Posted February 7, 2002 I have two of the comics (EW and FW), I could scan them on to a CD and send them to you if you need them asap. Scan Man Stan

Thanks for the offer, but I actually have all of them scanned already. It's just a matter of processing them all (cropping, rotating, reducing, compressing, renaming) and getting them integrated into the site/database. I've already done this with several, but it's pretty time consuming.. I want to put all of these online at once, so we can have a nice section of all the 2600 Comics (including the Masters of the Universe comic).. ..Al
StanJr #15 Posted February 7, 2002 That's cool. It was more of a general offer (especially for Greg @ TAT or Matthew Vigor), cause I know you guys, (Al's) are especially busy. Accomodating Stan
