dheine1971 #1 Posted May 25, 2005 Do you think the Atari owners could revive the 1982-1983 fiasco Swordquest competition if the entire Swordquest series (Earth World, Fire World, Water World, and unreleased Air World) is reissued in a CD Rom or video game system with a new grand prize rather than the never given away but still at the former Atari owner's home jeweled sword? ATARIPITBULL #2 Posted May 25, 2005 I would love nothing better, but they would need to redo all the games for better game play. I don't think the new Atari corporation would be willing to drop big bucks on a prize for a game that did not do all to well or that is as old as it is. Uber Troll #3 Posted May 25, 2005 I really wanted to like SwordQuest but It just didn't work out for me, or apparently, alot of people. From what I understand, it was supposed to be Adventure 2 or somesuch. God I wish it had been a true sequel to Adventure. As it is, it just seems to me like some corporate, non-game playing bozos sat around a table thinking about what THEY thought would be cool in a game. I've seen that kind of thing a million times, and pure crap is almost invariably the result.
yuppicide #4 Posted May 26, 2005 Someone should program a similar idea.. 3 games, very challenging games, and they'd win a prize. Like a similar game to Swordquest. Something long, lots of challenges. I'd also like to see a "Wario Ware" type game on the 2600 if possible.. tons of mini games basically.
