AlexKIDD #1 Posted May 29, 2005 I'm getting my blue ds next monday when it comes out and I have enough money to get 3 games. The ones I'm considering are Mario 64,Yoshi Touch and Go,Star Wars:episode 3,Mr. Driller,Wario Ware Touched, pac pix and Retro Atari. Which ones would you guys recommend? Jess Ragan #2 Posted May 29, 2005 Definitely get Yoshi's Touch and Go, and Wario Ware: Touched. The third and final game is entirely up to you. I wouldn't personally recommend Pac-Pix... the shape recognition in the game is iffy, making the later rounds extremely frustrating. Mr. Driller: Drill Spirits isn't a personal favorite of mine, either... if I were you, I'd pick up Puyo Pop Fever, which was great on the Dreamcast and should be just as good on the Nintendo DS. Zoop #3 Posted May 29, 2005 id recommend Mario 64 DS (its like a completely new adventure and the mini games add alot of replay value) Yoshi Touch & Go and Pac Pix or you could hold out till Kirby Kurse Kanvas and Goldeneye come out which is June 13th
davidbrit2 #4 Posted May 30, 2005 Mr. Driller is sweet, but if you get it, I'd recommend you import it. The US version is missing quite a few notable features that are in the Jap (and possibly Euro) verisons, i.e. single-card multi, the hidden character, and an entire game mode. Wario Ware Touched is fun, but I'd honestly recommend the GBA Wario Ware Twisted over that. It's more interesting, and seems to have more challenge to it. Yoshi is a very fun game, but it's rather lacking in substance. There isn't much beyond what you see in the first 20 minutes of play. Go play Gumshoe for the NES, and if you absolutely detest the experience, then you probably won't get much out of Yoshi. Heh. If you like racing games, I'd say Asphalt is currently the best out of the 3 available (along with Ridge Racer and NFS Underground 2). They're all pretty much arcade racers, but Asphalt seems to make the most respectable grasps at realism, and features a very nice selection of licensed vehicles of different classes. Oh, and it's widely accepted that Retro Atari is rubbish.
n8littlefield #5 Posted May 30, 2005 Mario 64 is great, the mini games are really fun as well. You can pick up Zoo Keeper for $20 now too, that's good. I wouldn't recommend PacPix either, I found the shape recognition excellent, but the game's a bit short. I heard Polarium's good though. I currently own Mario, Zoo Keeper, and Feel the Magic. I had Warioware but got tired of it quickly. I played Yoshi and that will likely be my next purchase, depending on other game release dates (Meteos)
shep #6 Posted May 30, 2005 (edited) Mario 64, Polarium, Wario Ware, Yoshi Touch and Go, and PacPix. Ridge Racer isn't bad either. I've read some earlier reviews of Meteos and it sounds like its going to be an awesome puzzler. Look for it soon! Edited May 30, 2005 by shep
figgler #7 Posted May 31, 2005 Feel the Magic and Star Wars are the best DS games I've played. Fell the Magic is innovative, yet intuitive and if nothing else is unlike anything you've ever played. Star Wars is just plain awesome. True that it barely uses the DS's functions, but it is completely sweet. Think NES Ninja Turtles gameplay, plus an uber cool Rogue Squadron sub game / frag fest. It's just awesome and not only becasue I lvoe Star Wars so much

Of those, I'd go with Mario, Star Wars and Warioware, especially if you're paying full price. The Nintendo and Star Wars titles for the handhelds tend to hold their value if they are any good at all and those three are solid. The others you can hold off, as they will likely drop in price or be more affordable used.
ApolloBoy #9 Posted June 2, 2005 (edited) Get WarioWare Touched. I was addicted to that one for days... Edited June 2, 2005 by ApolloBoy
