Uncle Duke #1 Posted February 17, 2002 Hey everyone, I was wondering if there are currently any fan ran Atari Clubs who offer patches and stuff for high scores? And if there arent any, why isnt there one? I do understand it would be quite difficult but people have pulled off some amazing stuff before. Like Hozer Video, only ran by one person. I found that pretty impressive. Yeah, I know Atari may not be the most best way to get business but I figured their would be an Atari Club similar to old Atari Clubs somewhere. Plus, it would be easy to doctor up High Score photos any more with computer technology. Thats always a problem.
Junie #2 Posted February 18, 2002 I think that is a great idea you got there. Perhaps someone, or some fellow Atarians, should start such a thing. Finding some company to make the patches shouldn't be very difficult. The only problem would be a source of revenue to cover the cost of the free patches. I imagine there are other ways to avoid the score editing by only allowing actual film pictures to be mailed in (The image must show the TV as well, that will avoid taking pictures of a PC monitor). moycon #4 Posted February 18, 2002 quoteWe don't offer patches.. but if you hate Nintendo you can join my 'NINTENDO MUST DIE" club... Ummmmmm... What exactly does a club devoted to the Atari 2600 that offers patches for high scores on Atari 2600 games have in common with some lame I hate Nintendo Club (Which I doubt many people do.) that offers no patches of any kind? Am I missing something here?
Uncle Duke #5 Posted February 18, 2002 lol, Really... Geeze, whats so bad about Nintendo, other than the bad manufactoring of the NES I love it. And if your just gonna start fire with a GameCube, why dont you just give it to me to save you some trouble... And I agree, an "I Hate Nintendo" Club, is very lame.
