StanJr #1 Posted February 17, 2002 I swear, I have like 6 copies of this mort. I have less combats! Why oh why do I keep buying it! I've even given some away and I still keep buying it. I keep looking for one that has the least amount of Acti-plaque (as you know I'm a label freak). I think the one I bought today will be the best one I will be able to find, so maybe I am done buying Laser Blast. But who knows. Anyone else have this problem? Fretwobbler #2 Posted February 17, 2002 I only own 1 copy, and its still sealed. I haven't ever played the game, not even on an emulator. Is it any good? Is it worth breaking the shrinkwrap for? Adam
liquid_sky #3 Posted February 17, 2002 god no. About as much fun as getting beat in the face with a nightstick by a crossdressing portly heroin addicted stripper named Skukisha.
StanJr #4 Posted February 17, 2002 liquid_sky, do you know where I can get that done for cheap? No, Fret, keep it in the wrap. If you really want to play it, you can have one of mine!
Fretwobbler #5 Posted February 17, 2002 I take it thats a no then. Adam
liquid_sky #6 Posted February 17, 2002 Gee, after you found out Miss Cleo was going away you just lost it huh? I proclaim skeet shoot, firefly, and laser blast to be ataris "axis of evil"
King Atari #7 Posted February 17, 2002 Stan, I've got a Laser Blast with no acti-plaque, that I'll EASILY trade.
StanJr #8 Posted February 17, 2002 Don't tempt me, I'd probably do it. Thanks but no thanks, King, the one I found today is near enough to perfect for me. Hopefully I will never see another Laser Blast! (ok who's the wise guy who's gonna post the scan of the cart???)

Adrian M #13 Posted February 17, 2002 I like Laserblast. Once you figure out the timing and pattern of the lasers, you can literally play this game forever!

ATARIPITBULL #15 Posted February 18, 2002 Maybe as a kid something bad happend to you while you were playing Laser Blast like the dog licked your face while playing it or you cut a fart and did not know that your mother was standing behind you while you were going for that high score., all these things could have caused you problems forever, thats why you keep trying to buy a clean copy of Laser Blast hopeing that someday you will be clean.( I could be wrong ). Noble Kale #16 Posted February 18, 2002 quoteI like Laserblast. Once you figure out the timing and pattern of the lasers, you can literally play this game forever! I think that that's the problem they have with it. It gets quite boring if you can keep playing indefinately.. sure, its fun to roll it the first few times.. but when you roll it *every* time you play, you know its gonna get boring fast. Personally, I kinda like it. the graphics are nice, the game is nice... it just gets boring too quickly.
King Atari #17 Posted February 18, 2002 My brother used to love Laser Blast, while I always thought it was a piece of ****. My copies have been gathering dust for quite awhile.
StanJr #18 Posted February 18, 2002 Ataripitbull, that's just weird. Actually I never had Laser Blast as a kid. I think its just my damn compulsivity to have all my labels be of mint condition. Plus there are a LOT of Laser Blasts floating around out there. Thankfully I have closed this chapter of my collection for good (unless I see one in complete in box.... )
Lemmi #19 Posted February 18, 2002 Ok everyone with a extra Laser Blast send them to stan, i will give you his address and i have Laser blast complete in its box
Osmeroid #20 Posted February 18, 2002 I kinda like Laser Blast - it's not a bad game! I do appear to have a similar problem to Stan though - to date I've got my hands on 5 copies of Xenophobe. I only keep the one boxed copy and one of the loose carts. I gave the other 3 away. Video Checkers is another one I have had numerous copies of, only kept the two complete boxed copies of this one. There is another complete copy of this on auction, a pic label w/large manual - I must resist!!
AtariDude #21 Posted February 18, 2002 I had Laser Blast as a kid. Although it was easy to get a pattern and play forever (at least it seemed like it), I still found it to be fun. I actually now have the cartridge although I tend to play it more on StellaX than the real thing.
jahfish #22 Posted February 18, 2002 don't know how often i have this title. i collect german, australian, dutch and brasilian carts, and pirates ... so i must have it between 2-5 times ....
moycon #23 Posted February 19, 2002 Oh jeeze. I just bought a boxed copy of Laser Blast today. Whatever Stan Jr had/has.... Its contagious!!! BEWARE!!
