Mindfield #1 Posted June 6, 2005 Since I got a new digital camera recently, I've been taking pics of bloody everything. This evening I decided to snap some new pics of my loose carts, since I had them out while I sorted through some new acquisitions and tried to find space in my growing collection of cart boxes. Below are just some pics of my loose cart collection. NOTE: They're very big pics, so be prepared for some quality nap time if you're on dialup. :-) I'll have to take some pics of my boxed stuff some other time. Mindfield #5 Posted June 6, 2005 (edited) Hey... I just realized... I seem to have lost a Spike's Peak/Ghost Manor double-ender! Dangit! I swear there's a tiny wormhole into which cartridges are disappearing. I also found I was missing a loose red-label Venture as well, which I had to replace with a crappy-label from my dupe pile. Grr... EDIT: Wait, wait... now I remember. I got an empty SP/GM box with manuals so I put my loose SP/GM in there. Either I'm getting old or my pile of stuff is getting unweildy. mitsubachi #7 Posted June 6, 2005 My collection is small and not as fancily housed as some (atari pitbull ). But the set up is servicable... I can play it in bed, late at night, when I can't get to sleep. Oh and here are my double enders So excited when art. duel and chuck norris arrived today! I think they're my favourites - beautifully bright and good games to play. And a pretty easy collection to start on, at least in pal it is
classicgamingguy #8 Posted June 6, 2005 And here I thought I had a nice-sized collection. Hrm...puts my collection to absolute shame. But, the good news is it's quite managable! I'm quite proud of it, even though it is a *tad* small. Anyway, I don't have any double-ender cartridges, either. I've NEVER seen one, and now that I have, I WANT one!! lol...I guess this habit is starting to grow out of proportion! We have a digital camera..perhaps I can take a picture of my collection and post it here, if I can get the camera away from my wife for five minutes. pinball22 #9 Posted June 6, 2005 Very nice! Is the Obelix NTSC? I assume the Spectravision I can't read is Bumper Bash? The t-handles are Trons? Do you have the tapes for Berenstain Bears and Smurfs STD? Some nice label variations, too... pic Flag Capture, Silver Gravitar, white Sky Diver, intl Ice Hockey, blue Atlantis. Is the cart with no end label a regular Air-Sea Battle or something else? And now, my attempt to reconstruct your wantlist (you may have some of these boxed, of course) based on the pics and my memory of the world, cause I was bored: Atari text: Basic Programming, Indy 500 regular, Star Ship, 03 Star Ship, Fun with Numbers, either Home Run or Human Cannonball (can't see) Atari pic: Blackjack, Codebreaker, Space Invaders (did you lose it or something?), Fun with Numbers Atari silver: SQ:WW, Asterix, Crazy Climber, Quadrun Atari red: BMX Airmaster, Ikari Warriors, Motorodeo, Xenophobe Imagic: Subterrania Zimag: Cosmic Corridor Avalon Hill: Shuttle Orbiter, Wall Ball Apollo: Guardian, Lochjaw Tigervision: Espial, River Patrol, Springer Spectravision: Mangia Commavid: Video Life, Magicard, Cakewalk Panda: everything but Dice Puzzle and Stunt Man Xonox: Motocross Racer/Tomarc the Barbarian, Spike's Peak, Robin Hood, Sir Lancelot, Chuck Norris M-Network: Star Strike, Adventures of Tron, Air Raiders INTV: Frogs & Flies, Star Strike Parker Bros: Q*Bert's Qubes Sears text: Space Combat, Adventure, Outer Space, Cannon Man (or can I just not see it?) Sears pic: Asteroids, Basketball, Gunslinger, Night Driver, Race, Pong Sports, Warlords, Star Raiders, Berzerk (or can I just not see it?), Yars' Revenge, Arcade Pinball, Adventure, Chase, Missile Command Other stuff: Video Jogger, Video Reflex, Rescue Terra I, Gauntlet, Malagai, Glib, Eli's Ladder, Music Machine, any of the Mystique/Playarounds, X-Man, Boing!, any of the Bombs, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween
Mindfield #10 Posted June 7, 2005 (edited) Very nice! Thanks. :-) Is the Obelix NTSC? Yep. Relatively recent acquisition. I assume the Spectravision I can't read is Bumper Bash? Yes. Mint green on silver doesn't photograph well. :-) The t-handles are Trons? Yes: Smurf and Moon Patrol. Do you have the tapes for Berenstain Bears and Smurfs STD? I wish. Loose carts are all I ever seem to find. I don't have a Kid Vid anyway' date=' but perhaps someday... :-) Some nice label variations, too... pic Flag Capture, Silver Gravitar, white Sky Diver, intl Ice Hockey, blue Atlantis. Is the cart with no end label a regular Air-Sea Battle or something else? I have a few International Editions. And yes, that's Air Sea Battle. I'm sure the end label is around here somewhere; I never got round to gluing it back on... And now' date=' my attempt to reconstruct your wantlist (you may have some of these boxed, of course)based on the pics and my memory of the world, cause I was bored: [/quote'] You must have been. Atari text: [...]Space Invaders (did you lose it or something?) It's there ... right above the pic label. The rest you are correct on though. :-) Atari silver: SQ:WW' date=' Asterix' date=' Crazy Climber, Quadrun[/quote''] The hardest of course... Atari red: BMX Airmaster' date=' Ikari Warriors, Motorodeo, Xenophobe[/quote'] ...Road Runner. Xenophobe is about the only reasonably attainable one in the ones you listed there though... it just seems to go for mad money (comparative to its rarity) most of the time. I'd also include Klax in there. It's PAL Only, but I've been collecting PAL exclusives just because they were never made available in NTSC. Imagic: Subterrania One of those carts that I almost never come across... dangit. Zimag: Cosmic Corridor I actually had this ... I ended up winning a nicer label than the one I had' date=' so I sold my existing one in anticipation of the better one arriving. Wouldn't you bloody know it, the replacement got lost in the mail. Grrr.... Avalon Hill: Shuttle Orbiter' date=' Wall Ball[/quote'] ...Out of Control. I had Wall Ball once upon a time... had to sell it over a year ago to help pay bills. Now I can't seem to get it back again. :-P Apollo: Guardian' date=' LochjawTigervision: Espial, River Patrol, Springer Spectravision: Mangia Commavid: Video Life, Magicard, Cakewalk[/quote'] About the only ones I have any chance of getting without divine intervention are Espial and Cakewalk... and even those might require sexual favours... Panda: everything but Dice Puzzle and Stunt Man More carts that go for more than you'd think. Xonox: Motocross Racer/Tomarc the Barbarian' date=' Spike's Peak' date=' Robin Hood, Sir Lancelot, Chuck Norris[/quote''] Well, at the very least I have each of those in an alternate configuration. :-) Spike's Peak single-ender will be the hardest of that lot... M-Network: Star Strike' date=' Adventures of Tron, Air Raiders[/quote'] Would you believe I've only ever come across Star Strike approximately twice? I know it's the rarest M-Network, but I'm almost inclined to say its rarity is a little higher than 5... INTV: Frogs & Flies' date=' Star Strike[/quote'] Actually I'm missing about 6 INTV whites... Parker Bros: Q*Bert's Qubes And that would be a "Good luck to me" on that one... Sears text: Space Combat' date=' Adventure' date=' Outer Space, Cannon Man (or can I just not see it?)[/quote''] No, it's just not there. Cannon Man a bastard to find. I think I've seen it exactly once. Sears pic: Asteroids' date=' Basketball, Gunslinger, Night Driver, Race, Pong Sports, Warlords, Star Raiders,Berzerk (or can I just not see it?), Yars' Revenge, Arcade Pinball, Adventure, Chase, Missile Command[/quote'] Berzerk is hiding behind the flash. :-) Correct on the rest. Other stuff: Video Jogger' date=' Video Reflex, Rescue Terra I, Gauntlet, Malagai, Glib, Eli's Ladder, Music Machine, any of the Mystique/Playarounds,X-Man, Boing!, any of the Bombs, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween [right']869304 I have Beat 'em & Eat 'em/Lady in Wading CIB (the Lady in Wading side doesn't work -- common with these unfortunately) as well as a sealed Beat 'em & Eat 'em. The rest can be filed under "Things I'll buy when I find a suitcase full of money left carelessly in an alley." (Which itself is filed under "Dumbass things I should under no circumstances do but probably will anyway because hey, sack of money!") EDIT: Okay, why isn't my quoting working? Mindfield #11 Posted June 7, 2005 Some pics of the boxed games. Not much of a storage solution, but it'll do 'til I can work out something more presentable...

Mindfield #13 Posted June 7, 2005 Aaaand finally other stuff... 7800, Jag and Lynx stuff... There's a lotta other stuff I didn't bother dragging out -- a CIB ADAM (I only take that out when I need a really good workout :-)), some miscellaneous merchandising stuff, yadda yadda. nester #14 Posted June 8, 2005 Wow, great pictures. No offense to anyone, but Jaguar cover art makes me laugh out loud! I had never really seen any of them before. What is up with Atari Karts?
Mindfield #15 Posted June 8, 2005 Wow, great pictures. No offense to anyone, but Jaguar cover art makes me laugh out loud! I had never really seen any of them before. What is up with Atari Karts? 870204 Atari Karts is basically a blatant ripoff of Mario Kart on N64 -- only not quite as good. The bear on the cover is Bentley Bear from Crystal Castles, which is probably the closest thing Atari ever had to a recognizable mascot. But yes, some of the Jag's cover art is pretty bleak.
