Favorite Video Game Music?

Sonic Adventure has some really good stuff interspersed amid a whole bunch of stuff ranging from "Ehh" to "Gahh!"

 

I did like the music in the Lost World for one.

 

Speaking of Sonic, the original Sonic is really good and so is a lot of the music in the Saturn version of Sonic 3D.

 

Jewel Master on the Genesis has some really good stuff too, as does Strider.

"Into Sandy's City" from Doom II. The whole soundtrack from Doom and Doom II by Bobby Prince is generally good

while it was far from being the best version overall, The 3DO verion of Doom, in my opinion had the best soundtrack. It was the original compositions from the original Doom, but it was redone on real heavy metal instruments and the ocasional electronica. I can't remember which level it was, but there was a level where the music had this deep deep synth bass line on it that shook the place. And this was back when I was still using my 50watt single 8" Optimus sub. I wish I still had it so I could hear how it'd sound now on my 250watt dual 10" Sony sub. I've also got a more powerful and cleaner sounding receiver than I did then, and much better speakers, so the whole presentation would be better, not just the bass.

After Burner. Ofcourse Hubbard`s

Sanxion and Galway`s

Only if you're talking about the NES version. The orginal GameBoy release's music is arguably the most famous, and it was all original tunes.

 

Myself, I'm partial to the tune in the C-64 version released by Spectrum Holobyte. Very nice and spacey, and making full use of the C-64's ability to play digital samples.
