Home made Gamecube case.

Recommended Posts

Well, being a cheap person, I didn't want to buy one of the various replacement Gamecube cases for supporting fullside dvd media, so I made my own.

That's my page dedicated to it. I'm pretty happy about the way it came out. And no, it's not for sale, just posting for the sake of bragging. :P :D

For those who are too lasy to want to visit another page, here are some attached pics.

Why would you need to play DVDs on a GameCube, other than for "backup" copies of games? Is there a DVD playing function built into the GC that'll let you watch movies?

Backups, homebrewed, Linux, etc...

There are media players for the cube, but since the laser can't track further then 1.5 gigs out, it's kinda limited in that aspect.

Look's good but also alot of hard work, More then my small brain can do...

The finished case looks original until you see a full sized CD or DVD in it and know its modified TOO THE MAX !!!! COOL :)

Very nice indeed - what types of homebrews are available for the Cube?  Emus?

Homebrewed scene is still kind of weak right now but growing. There are some things like Tetris, Pong, assorted demos and the like. Utilities for memory card management, creating backups, mp3 players, media players, linux.

As for Emu's, there are currently Chip8, NES, SNES, N64, Genesis and Gameboy. Hopefully, more will come out in the future.
