stelladaptor question

Recommended Posts

posted in hardware also, hope it's OK to post here too.

hi all, i was thinking of building an ultimate controller interface, please see my post over at http://forums.emuscene.com/viewtopic.php?t=1186

the question i had, can the stelladaptor be used with other controllers for other emu's, specifically master system or genesis (i think the other systems i listed for stelladaptor on my post above are just wishful thinking).

also, if anyone has any ideas on other adaptors i could use for my list in said post, please feel free to respond. this won't be a cheap project by any means but it could be the end all of controller interfaces.

thanks all for reading and any input you may have.

tony

AFAIK, the Stelladapter will work with SMS and Genny controllers, but with only one button.

As far as getting the Stelladapter to work with emulators that don't seem to recognize it, I have a program (I forget the name) on my PC at home that will let you map most joysticks to the keyboard or mouse controls on a Windows PC. This way I can use the Stelladapter with java/flash games or anything else as long as it only requires regular up/down/left/right movement and one button. The software will also let me map each of the buttons on my old Sidewinder... very nifty. When I get home (if someone hasn't already) I'll post a link to where you can download a copy.
