RPG on 2600?

Hi there,

 

sorry for my stupid question, but is there any RPG except the 2 AD&D-protos on the 2600? I collect now for about 3 months and I found only the 2 protos.

We discussed this a few months back. i dont think theres any game that could be considered RPG by todays standards. There are many games with RPG elements tho. Raiders of the Lost Ark, Adventure, Dark Chambers, Dragon Stomper (Supercharger game)

Quest for Quintana Roo is maybe too a RPG.

 

And the SwordQuest Series. EarthWorld, FireWorld, WaterWorld (NTSC only) and AirWorld (Never Release).

 

I love Raiders of the Lost Ark, this is my favourite game. Here my Raiders of the Lost Ark Collection:

I hope to get soon the other NTSC game with the 1982 Lable and all BOLD letters on the small Lable. Then I only miss some pirated variants.

I am so happy that I own the Prototyoe too of this great game. And soon all official Lable Variants.

Cool collection, Matthias. I have the PAL-cart and in a few days the NTSC-cart. But a true RPG is the AD&D-cart, but the two protos would be too expensive, I think. Maybe I get the cart with the bold letters on the small label. I will inform you then.

I get it too. I have buy it on ebay.com for a long time. But shipping from USA take sometimes very long.

 

It has orange letters and all are bold. RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. But this is not so rare as the other RAIDERS LOST ARK with the other 1986 great looking Lable.

I have see it one time on ebay.com, but have not won. I was very sad of this that I ask here if someone will trade it with me. And I have get it. Thanks again to Joel D. Park.

 

I think this is a very Rare Lable Variant. I have not see it often.

Yes, on my website. There is left My Want list and Trade list. But I have not much in the moment. And I search most only Rare games. And from Pirated Companies.

 

And all I don't have. But that so many that I don't list them.

I think Dark Chambers was the best RPG. It had excellent graphics and gameplay, and is one of the late-80's classics.

Does anyone know what the difference between the 4K and 8K Dark Mage versions are?

I think the 4k version is not complete, this is a beta release (Prototype) .

Both the 4K and 8K versions are "complete." The 4K version is just *much* shorter. However, they both have an ending to them and are very good games. I bought the 4K version, played it to the end, then later got the 8K version. I'm still working on that one

What about Montezumas Revenge and Tutankham? would these two be thought of as RPG.

I'm not sure about those two. Of them, Monty is the closest to a RPG. Tut is more of what I would call and "adventure" game, like Pitfall! or Tomb Raider.
