Cassidy Nolen #3 Posted June 20, 2005 Very nice pieces! I am not a big pin fan, but the EM stuff is way cool to see when its working nicely. Tempest is one of my all time fav's. Never played it as a kid at all, never even saw one until I was an adult. I think its a great looking cabinet, and the art is fantastic. If I had just one game that I think summed up Atari's artistic abilities, I think that is the game. Very nice pieces indeed. Tip on your Tempest board... If you are handy with a soldering iron (which you will be if you own any color vector games!), reflow the solder on the board interconnect cable pins. They will cold solder on occasion and take out the power supply board. Easy fixes, but they are better to avoid if you can. Get the monitor rebuild kit and just do it preventitively if you have any issues with the monitor. Reflowing solder on those connectors can save you some headaches, too. chadtower #4 Posted June 20, 2005 Great stuff, what did you pay, and how functional are they? That's good advice above on the Tempest PCBs, BTW... I would also immediately replace the power supply filter cap. Do that on all of the early 80s Atari cabs you get as a matter of course.
Stingray #5 Posted June 20, 2005 Wow, an EM pin and a color vector, it just doesn't get much better than that in my opinion! Very nice. Tempest just happens to be my very favorite arcade game of all time so color me quite envious! -S

Clint Thompson #8 Posted July 2, 2005 Holy crap you suck! I would LOVE to just have a Tempest machine sitting in my frontroom! (Although I'd be up for a T2K themed cabinet and game).... argh! One day!
