Bugs Bunny Prototype Fake Lable and others

Recommended Posts

I found today this on ebay.com.

Atari VCS/2600 BUGS BUNNY prototype

But the seller writes self, that the lable is no original. Looks the same as the Quadrun that I see for some days on a website printed with Laser-Printer.

Question, is this a Best Electronic Prototype that was overlabled by an Atari Collector, or is this a Selfburned EPROM, by an Collector?

Other Prototypes:

Seller BPOLARO Prototypes

This seller has 3 Prototypes. 2 Looks strange, but I think they are real.

Scott doesn't know if the Bugs Bunny proto is a Best proto or not, but my guess is that it is since none of the EPROMs have covers. The label (the white one) is definetly a fake.

As for the BPolaro protos, I contacted him to see if he was indeed Bob Polaro (I'd think he was), and if he could shed some light one origins of those protos (the Acivision Tennis proto in an Atari case for instance). I'll let you know what I found out if he e-mails me back.

I have found in the web a Imagic game in an Atari Lab Loaner, Demon Attack.

One other was Chopper Command, but there stand nothing on the Lable, only the collector mean this is the game.

And have see others in the web that look a bit like Loaner as this Tennis.

Hey MattyXB I looked at your atari web page and thought it looked nice. If I come across any of the games in your want list, I will let you know.

Thanks, but I first search only Rare games (or NTSC only releases), because the other buy I cheap on ebay . And much for trade have I too not.

But thanks.

Temp: I have a couple protos like that. The board itself is a real Atari 8K board, but the EPROMS aren't labeled- they may be copies, or originals w/o the labels. Impossible to tell, unless Atari used a specific brand of EPROMS with all their protos (did they?). I put some labels on the chips to protect them from possible erasure, as well as the small 'name tag' label on the front (I didn't want to write on the label itself).

Good question! But then again, with all the Atari stuff Brad got what are the odds that he didnt get a large supply of Atari EPROMs as well? We may never know.
