Mindfield #1 Posted June 26, 2005 The 26th is 5c listing day on eBay.ca and eBay.com. Of course, the catch is you must list your items at $0.99 or less.
Clint Thompson #2 Posted June 26, 2005 Hmm.... awesome. Sounds like I need to get off my lazy arse and post some stuff.... Thanks for the heads up!

Next weekend is the 4th of July celebration in the U.S. A lot of places are having celebrations on the 3rd (Sunday) so there might not be that many bidders when the auction ends. I forgot about that a week before Memorial Day Weekend...
mumbai #5 Posted June 26, 2005 In line with the above remark about the 4th, I'd expect a fair number of people (in general, how that translates to eBay, who knows) to light out for the weekend to take advantage of the three-day break. Gotta love the regular attempt to entice sellers to list around a major US holiday...
txsizzler #6 Posted June 26, 2005 Yeah.. I had forgotten all about the long weekend. I was going to put a bunch of stuff on Monday and Tuesday evenings... I think I will hold off for about a week..
Mindfield #7 Posted June 26, 2005 You could always list for 10 days and bypass the long weekend...
txsizzler #8 Posted June 26, 2005 That is true, but I like my clients to have a full 7 days to be able to look at my auctions. If I ran a 10 day, in essence, people would have only 3 days to really see my stuff. Besides, when someone starts a 10 day auction, even if it is on my watch list, it gets largely ignored and forgotten. The only time I will remember these, is when there is just a few hours left on that particular item ( I usually have 40-50 items on my watch list at any given time). By that point, my money may already be tied up in something else, so, that particular item will go untouched by myself.

holygrailvideogames.com #11 Posted June 26, 2005 I don't know if eBay will do this again but in some years they have offered free listings right before the 4th of July. I doubt they will do the free listing again as they pretty much have stopped offering free listings but we might still see a 10 cent listing day for all items this week. Mindfield #12 Posted June 26, 2005 Shhhhh!!! Let the sellers list thier auctions so they end on a Sunday! 881196[/snapback] Doh! You're right. My bad. Go ahead and list for 5 or 7 days by all means! (Fri. July 1st: Canada Day (Canada). Mon. July 4th: Independence Day (USA). July 2nd-3rd: Damn good bargains!) :-)

Mindfield #16 Posted June 27, 2005 Odd. I swear I saw that it was for both ebay.ca and ebay.com, since it's the "5 & 10" birthday celebration (ebay.com's 10th anniversary, and ebay.ca's 5th anniversary).
