what to do when the image

I´ve a 2600 (woody version) , but the image is not clear, It´s like interferences (I don´t know how to explain this very well...), but is not problem of the tv (I tried with a 2600jr I have and works well). Is there any solution?

Is there a channel switch at the bottom of the console? If there is one, try to switch it to another channel.

yes, the channel 2-3 switch, I tried to sintonize in both positionsm but the image quality is the same

Are you using a switchbox? If so, you might want to try one of these instead:

Does the picture start out fine and then get progrssively worse? If so, I think keilbaca has a solution, at least he did for me..

I had that problem with my 2600 and I bought a new switch box and it didn't work so I bought another new switch box and that worked and I got both of them from Radio Shack, weird huh ??

 

You might have a faulty channel switch or a short in the wire going to the switch box or maybe not, just a few ideas that's all.

Best thing to do would probably be to do (or get someone to do) the composite or S-Video mod, and just forget about RF completely. It sounds like your 2600 isn't shielded all too well.

I had to pry the top offa my old switch box to get it to work. It never worked when it was assembled. I took off the top and stuck it to the back of an old TV.
