Gabriel #76 Posted July 13, 2005 Wild Gunman. It's about the only thing I even play on the NES anymore other than some of the RPGs. I might say Balloon Fight, but I've never actually seen that cart (but I do have it on a Famiclone and as an unlocked game on Animal Crossing).
nester #77 Posted July 14, 2005 I missed all the Bionic Commando talk. That's my all time favorate video game! I've never thought it got the attention it deserved, but I'm too biased to say.

Dones #81 Posted July 14, 2005 (edited) and the lightgun game To The Earth was again hard but one of the few good good lightgun games. How about impossible! Even on an emulator with the aid of a mouse the game is still close to unwinnable. I am amazed this game was actually published by Nintendo. I might be alone on this but I think the game is not underrated, just plain bad. Edited July 14, 2005 by Dones
n8littlefield #82 Posted July 14, 2005 Does anyone else here like Godzilla? 891582[/snapback] I owned it back in the day - but have to admit I remember not liking it very much. Apparently my cousin just found a box of NES/Atari stuff in my old house, it could actually be in that box - can't wait until my next visit out there, I'll give it another try if it is! Of course, I stand at the limits of my gun's cable, where any point on screen can be hit with a quick twitch.
Dones #84 Posted July 14, 2005 My experience has been the contrary when playing gun games with a mouse on emulators, but that's not the point. "To the earth" is hard to play, no matter what input device you use. It's just a bad game.

There was only one follow up game on the Gameboy Color which wasn't bad either.

I'm with you on that one. While it's not my favorite games of all time it's in my top ten. There was only one follow up game on the Gameboy Color which wasn't bad either. I've played two GB Bionic Commando ports: there was a very solid port for the original gameboy. Changes were minimal; they cut out the before and after story (which is a real pity, IMO), the cut-scenes after a level were a bit anime'd up, and they fiddled with a bit of the stuff at the end; I think they ditched "Hitler" and added this one level including swinging underneath a big mothership. Oh, and they removed the "original Commando" boards I think. Then there was the GBC. It had a different look, with taller, skinnier characters (actually they looked a bit like Samus-sans-suit does in the GBA Metroids). My copy was glitchy though, I think I lost too many saves before finally giving up.
