Atari Rescue Group #1 Posted July 3, 2005 In Sacramento today I saw an old pong clone variation arcade machine today at a garage sale. $10 was the price. Flim Flam by Meadows. 1974-ish or so. It's a 2-player upright machine and different from the one at klov.com... KLOV's Flim-Flam It's a pong game where you can move your paddle all over your side of the screen and you have a "speed" button. I didn't test it but the the guy said it works and that the screen "looks faint--probably because it's not used much." The cabinet looks pretty good (it's big and brown from all that wood laminate covering on it) and I noticed one of the tips of the joystick knobs was missing. Not sure if anyone is interested in this one. I got the seller's phone number and he says it's not gonna make the move when he move out of his house in a week. If anyone may be interested let me know.
sku_u #2 Posted July 3, 2005 Let me get this straight. You PASSED UP an opportunity to obtain a working table style classic ultra rare pong machine for $10.00 that could have doubled as a poker table in your basement? ERROR...ERROR...
Atari Rescue Group #3 Posted July 3, 2005 The one I saw is a two-player upright version, not that 4-player tabletop one from the KLOV page. I've got a Black Widow arcade in my garage already, so no room right now.

Dr Galaga #5 Posted July 3, 2005 Rare, but only worth about $50 - $100. Still, you should MAKE room for it!
Cassidy Nolen #6 Posted July 5, 2005 Tubes mounted like that tend to get clogged guns. You can have the tube rejuvenated at a TV shop for a few bucks, and it should be up and running. I would suggest picking it up if you could. I think you could make some money on the flip of it. Few Meadows pieces survive today. Not worth much money on the market, but there are a few collectors out there that would pay real bucks for it. Cassidy
chadtower #7 Posted July 5, 2005 If it's an upright, that's not the problem. It probably is about 20 years overdue for a cap kit.
Stingray #8 Posted July 11, 2005 I don't believe that there is a complete arcade game in the world that I would pass on for $10. -S
