Tsukasa #1 Posted July 3, 2005 Does anyone have the schematics for the four score?
Dones #2 Posted July 3, 2005 For what purpose? Try doing a search on "nesdev".
Tsukasa #3 Posted July 4, 2005 I'm too cheap to buy one and wanted to try to build one. BTW: they didn't have it on the site you're reffering to, I've been there before.
doubledown #4 Posted July 4, 2005 Where are you going to get the 4 controller ports and the plug-end wire from. Are you going to bastardize 2 consoles and 1 controller? They can't be that expensive.
yuppicide #5 Posted July 4, 2005 Too cheap to buy one?! I can sell you one brand new in box for $8 + shipping.
Tsukasa #6 Posted July 4, 2005 It gives me something to do, and I feel better if build something myself than if I buy it. It's my summer break, and I don't have a job, so I have lots of time and little money. By using the info that I could find on the four score, I am working on essentially reverse-engineering it from software to hardware. (the info that I have was meant for writing emulators to support the four score, so I have what the console does to get the data it wants from the four score) I have a cannibalized nes that will eventually be part of my super game console setup in my room, connected to my computer along with my 2600 and sms. The whole setup will make a kick-ass development system, and will allow me to send game roms from my computer to various consoles. I'm going to standardize the controllers, because I hate nonstandard connectors. And because all of the controllers interface similarly, it won't be too difficult to do. This is going to be my big summer project.
