+else #1 Posted July 5, 2005 (edited) Sold "unpainted" and to the "heights bidder" Not Mine! Shipping in the US seems reasonable, but jeez, I wonder where international shipping for $95 in shipping would get it to -- Antarctica!!! Disclaimer: Wasn't ICD from Rockford, IL? And didn't they rip a bunch of people off? Buyer beware, I guess.... Edited July 5, 2005 by else

holygrailvideogames.com #4 Posted July 5, 2005 I bought a new Air Cars from this seller a long time ago. The box arrived damaged because the seller shipped it in a bubble envelope. This seller told me a long time ago that he or she (I can't remember if it was a man or a woman) found all of this stuff in a storage locker and didn't know anything about it. Wilbur McCalmont #5 Posted July 10, 2005 Sold "unpainted" and to the "heights bidder" Shipping in the US seems reasonable, but jeez, I wonder where international shipping for $95 in shipping would get it to -- Antarctica!!! If you check his feedback you'll notice that I left feedback for a C.B. Unit which was also an "UNPAINTED ATARI CAT BOX". It took a month for it to arrive - probably used the same carrier for shipping to Antartica (i.e. Penguin Express) - after I sent numerous emails he only answered after I used the "ask seller a question" button in the auction. Prior to bidding on the auction I asked him some questions about the item, and ended by apologetically/jokingly saying 'that I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't an empty box'. His response was "ITS NOT AN EMPITY BOX!". Luckily I've dealt with him before so I know spelling and tact aren't his strong points. As for the unit it was missing all the screws (Jay might want to pick-up some pan head 6/32 x 1/2" long stainless steel machine screws and some nylon washers for the PCB). There was no knob or terminating-resistor-phone-plug doohickey, and after testing I found that the MAX202 & the TDA???? audio amp IC's needed replaced. The good news is that the unit works perfect now and was made with I guess the latest 'B' & 'F' revision PCB's as well as the connectors appeared to be brand new with no rust. The stainless steel case was also in perfect scratch-free condition. I would have left negative feedback for about half the auctions I've won of his if wasn't for the fact that if I get my item I'm happy and that there's a possibility he may have something else I want. Also check out his feedback left for others and you'll find that if you leave him neg feedback he'll leave you neg feedback with a lame excuse.

I'm sure I'll get a similar product that needs a little work on it. It was cheap which is nice. I'll keep you posted on how it turns out.
