pinball22 #2 Posted July 8, 2005 Cause it all looks nice and clean and like it's being sold by someone with a clue... the buyers all don't have much feedback and are probably just looking for a system that they're sure will work with a good selection of games. Red 5 #4 Posted July 8, 2005 It makes no sense. You can't ever figure it out. I have sold Atari systems with about 40 carts. Sometimes they sell for $40 and sometimes they sell for $100. Most of the time they fall somewhere in between. I always sell anything rarer than a 4 in a seperate auction. I use the same style listing and same descriptions every time. I have 100% feedback and over 200 transactions. Sometimes it's just luck I guess. We've all seen something like a loose Mario Bros. go for $30.00 in a newbie bidding war. I wish I was that lucky. glitch #5 Posted July 8, 2005 (edited) I really like the layout of his auction. Very professional looking, easy to read. It makes everything stand out well. As far as the price just luck as far as I can tell. The joysticks look a little armour all'ed to me though Edited July 8, 2005 by glitch
the 5th ghost #6 Posted July 8, 2005 Why? Because of the ultra-rare-non-title Atlantis cart!
Chickybaby #7 Posted July 8, 2005 Oddly, I saw 5 games that we don't have - Flag Capture, No Escape, International Soccer, Super Challenge Baseball, and Millipede. Which is probably the most I've seen in any one auction in a while. Although I wouldn't pay for the sports games, but that's just my opinion. I would rather save up for those "Rare & HTF" ones, lol. Layout of the auction for the *stylish* 2600 is really nice, there's a good variety of games, and luck I would say has a lot to do with it. Plus with a nice layout it can make it seem like everything definitely would work and there would be no problems at all. And yes I would agree he definitely shined those babies up.
