dalton4life #1 Posted July 15, 2005 (edited) I'm just getting into Turbo Graphix 16 emulation on my PSP and I was looking for a site like this at least somewhat. Mainly I want to know what are some of the better games and I want to know what's the layout is of the 6 button controller. JB #2 Posted July 15, 2005 The 6-button pad is a double-3 layout, like the Genesis 6-button and Saturn pads(or like the Capcom fighter arcades). As for the best games... Rondo of Blood is darn good.
AlexKIDD #3 Posted July 16, 2005 It's not as big or as nice as this site but there is a forum with helpful people who know a lot about these systems at www.pcenginefx.com . Some other good sites for game reviews and turbo grafx information are: www.turbo2k.com www.turbografx.net www.turbografx-16.com (lots of cheats and codes for games) www.pcenginebible.roarvgm.com (this site has a list of most american and japanese pcengine/turbografx releases and reviews for some of them) www.videogamecritic.net (not about these systems in particular but has a nice section of turbografx reviews)

It'll take me some time to get through all that but I did see some good stuff. BTW I managed to find a pic of a 6 button controller. I Googled "Turboduo". It's top row of buttons is backward from the Sega controllers and that's what was messing me up. Edited July 17, 2005 by dalton4life

AlexKIDD #6 Posted July 17, 2005 Wow that's a nice controller, never had one of those before, with 6 turbo switches. Is that for the regular duo or the pc engine one? And i'm glad the links helped you out. I'm always looking for turbo stuff online too.
AlexKIDD #7 Posted July 17, 2005 By the way if you're liking those games on your psp you should look into getting a regular American turbo system. They seem to be pretty cheap now($30-$40). I started playing turbo stuff on my psp too and while it's a nice substitute for a turbo express it still made want to play those games on my system. Though it is a nice way to play games like Magical Chase which I can't afford.
Jess Ragan #8 Posted July 17, 2005 Whoa, I don't remember the Turbografx-16's six button controller looking like that at all! The controller pictured here looks like it would be comfortable to hold. The one I saw had all the ergonomics of a brick. JR

Ferris #10 Posted July 17, 2005 Not to toot my own horn too much but I think you may enjoy my website - www.TurboGrafx-16.com I have an entire database of game cheats (Tricknology) extensive history on the TurboGrafx systems, ebay resources, Turbo Library, scans of TurboGrafx advertisments, Instructions, Documentation, a Help page and just about everything else you could imagine. I always like to hear feedback too. You may also enjoy our sister site - www.Pcenginefx.com - extensive reviews and background on the Japanese PC Engine systems including PC-FX and Hudson Soft. jesusc #11 Posted July 17, 2005 That's actually a pic of the pad that came with the DuoRX. The standard avenue pad 6 was shaped the same basically, but only had turbo switches for buttons I and II.
Ferris #12 Posted July 18, 2005 Yes, that was the pad that shipped in japan with the RX, but it is better known as the standard controller for the PC-FX, the 32-Bit followup to the Duo. Justin

Justin 893416[/snapback] Better known? I thoguht the PCFX was an unparalleled disaster. Did NEC only make 5 DuoRXes or something?
