Red 5 #1 Posted July 20, 2005 Why would this be put out for the xbox and not as a launch title for the 360? Wouldn't that be a system selling launch title? I don't get it. They say it will run perfectly on the XBOX, but still, why not throw it on the 360 with some extra goodies then?
ferrarimanf355 #2 Posted July 20, 2005 If Doom 3 can run on the Xbox, so can Half-Life 2.
Punisher5.0 #3 Posted July 20, 2005 Worse yet....I hear that EA is publishing it.
Gregory DG #4 Posted July 20, 2005 Yeah, the VU/Sierra partnership is dissolved. Valve is done with them. Now they'll go on to make millions of dollars for EA. As if they need more.

I know that it can be done on the Xbox, but imagine if they really polished it to a shine and made it look even better so it looked obvious the 360 was much better than the Xbox. Of course, if I ran M$ they'd be broke because I'd just want to have 2D shooters and platformers made all the time.
Clock #9 Posted July 27, 2005 Has it been confirmed that it is Xbox only and not 360 as well? It is possible they are making two versions. Remember Rare tansfered Kameo onto 360 including a complete spruce up in just a few weeks thanks to XNA. So it wouldn't be that big a deal to do the same with HL2. Besides, the 360 is getting Quake 4...
