Need possible Ebay help from European member

Anybody here from Europe, Italy specifically, want to help me out with an Ebay Italy auction item. I asked the seller today if he'd ship to the US, but while I'm waiting for the response I'd like to have a back-up if he says no. He says he'll ship to anywhere in Europe, but with the item being in Italy, I figured if someone from Italy would help it cut down on all of the country to country shipping.
