Atelier Iris: Enternal Mana for PS2

Anyone have this game? I have heard really good stuff but am not sure I want to spend $49.99.

 

Anyone know anything? I heard it was pretty awesome and done in the spirit of and old SNES RPG.

Funny you mentioned Atelier Iris...I asked awhile back, but since I've been reading up on the game, I'll give you some good stuff about it. Yes, it's supposed to be one incredible game. I believe they scored it 8.25 in Game Informer Magazine. I've seen some trailers, some video feeds and the like, and found the game appealing. I have it on order, and am anxiously awaiting it's arrival.

 

This game is "classic" RPG/strategy, with lots of goodies thrown in the mix. It's from Nippon Ichi. If you don't mind 2d hand-drawn sprites and are a rabid hardcore RPG fan, you'll love this game. It has a deep character set, turn based, and the voice acting IS actually good for a change.

 

You'll have to be patient, though, as there's LOTS to do in this game (like crafting items from your alchemical skill). All this was taken from Game Informer issue 146, June 2005 (I added some stuff I thought I'd like myself). They seemed to have translated this title well.

 

Anyway, just my (and Game Informer's) two cents. I think if you're a hardcore RPG nut like mwa, you'll love this game.
