I had a NES before and i believe if it flashes when a cartridge is inserted, its a dirty cartridge or the 72 pin connection inside needs cleaning.

 

I think they flash if no cartridge is inserted ...??

If there's no cart in the unit, it's gonna flash.

Yeah I thought so. Usually its just the 72 pin slot thats dirty or the cart needs cleaning when it flashes with the cart inserted.

NOTE: it hasn't been tested with any games and it doesn't come with a power supply. I tested it with a power supply from the 1st NES I had for sale, and it flashes when turned on. Because of this, I am selling it AS IS.
