I don't know how well the top of the stick, and the "boot" at the bottom of the stick will come together. I think the boot will need tabs on it also, and it looks kind of wierd to me, like a square.

 

I have done a couple of the original ones. The ghost, and mario 64 were probably the most difficult.

I've been playing around with Pepakura designer, it's a nice piece of software which computes flat layouts.

Im actually fooling around in pepakura as well, but I was too lazy to make a 3d model first, so I just made the joystick from scratch
