I'm a recent addition to the atari community. However, I'm quite impressed by the continuation of Home-brews. What are the best games that recent publishers have produced?

Go Fish! and Gunfight are also very good.

 

I was wondering... are you only interested in games that have been sold on cartridges, or just any homebrew? Because there are plenty that haven't been.

I'd prefer carts because the developer would be able to be rewarded for his efforts. I'm not interested in ROM's because I feel the author is entitled to a profit if they believe that their product is worthy of financial compensation.

Star Fire. Can't go wrong with that one. Fall Down is a great game, too. Especially two-players.

And I also really enjoy the puzzle homebrews. Jammed, especially.

At the risk of being a shill for my ownstuff...

I'd say FlapPing is at least worth a download looksy...especially if you have a friend to play it against, but even the one player modes can be fun.

Thrust and Jammed are the two that stand out and I so I purchased them.

 

Hunchy II is quite a treat and I would get that if it was on a cart.

 

I also like 'Go Fish' and 'Gunfight'

 

For some reason, I've never tried Marble Craze but that one has always had my eye...

Get marble craze. It will not only get your eye, but it will take all of your free time also.

I have to say Gunfight. I own both Gunfight and Marble Craze and they are both quality titles. Love those games!

I'm working on Thrust. I'm getting pretty close but there a a few tricky spots I've got to figure out.

 

You can't go wrong with any Xype game in my opinion.

I agree. All of the Xype games I have are top notch.

Oystron is still my favorite. It isn't as flashy as some of the more recent homebrews, but I enjoy its gameplay the best.
