Finally completed Parker Bros.!

Recommended Posts

Yep. I've title-completed quite a few sets, but most of them were moderately easy. So far, Parker Bros. has been the toughest, and thanks to Cassidy Nolen I finally got a Qubes cart to complete the set!

Congrats! I'm just missing 3, Mr. Do!'s Castle, color label GI Joe and Qubes.

Eh...

And I know it's PAL, but if you really want to collect them all, this one should not be missing:

Forgot about those actually. I have both CIB -- but that did make me realize that I don't have a loose Amidar! Now I'm gonna hafta find one. :)

That is great mindfield!! My problem is that I still need, Qubes & Mr do's castle and what sucks is that about 4 years ago, I could have had a Mr do's castle mIB for about $90.00 but I bought Montezumas revenge MIB instead.

:D

Damn, I'd have been torn on that one too. On the one hand I love Montezuma's Revenge, while Mr. Do!'s Castle is utterly horrible (on the 2600 -- I love it on 5200 and 8-bit). On the other hand Mr. Do!'s Castle is REALLY hard to find MCIB and $90 is a great price for one.

Mind you completing this set CIB is gonna be next to impossible...

Thanks. :) I'm not sure what to tackle next. So far I'm closest to completion with:

- Imagic (need Subterranea and Laser Gates)

- Spectravideo (need Mangia)

- Tigervision (need River Patrol, Springer and Espial)

- Atari (need Road Runner, Waterworld, Quadrun, Asterix, Motorodeo, Ikari Warriors, Xenophobe and BMX Airmaster)

- Apollo (need Guardian)

- Avalon Hill (need Wall Ball and Out of Control)

- Coleco (technically complete - just need a KidVid and the tapes for Smurfs Save the Day and Berenstain Bears)

I'm not counting PAL versions though. Atari will probably be the toughest of the lot to complete.

Atari is easy to complete NTSC, if you have the money... even Quadrun comes up fairly often as it's a well known game, and the rest are pretty common (relatively speaking).

Now, if you want a challenge, try getting Atari complete, i.e. even labels that only exist PAL.

Now that's a challenge which I'm not aware anyone's ever completed (some of the red label PAL ones are a nightmare to find. I still need Vanguard red label!)

lol ... I don't think I'm up to that kind of challenge yet. Having the money is usually the problem -- the most I dropped on a single game is $75, and that was for the above Qubes cart. :)

Yes, PB is an acomplishment.  It took me an additional 3 years to find all the intructions for my complete set of carts.  Congrats on your goal!

I'm not holding my breath for manuals or CIBs right now -- I've already spent several hundred just on loose Parker carts alone, and while manuals don't often boost the price too unreasonably, I'd prefer to get CIB if I were to "add on" to the set -- and you can double or triple the cost of that for many of those carts. ;)
