i saw this show on The Superstation (TBS) called Burly TV last night and it has a show called Dave & steves video Game Explosion and at the begining it shows a ton of clips from different video games and then it goes to someone putting a Atari 2600, colecovision, NES and other things in a garbage can

this show was about games on the PS2, and next week is about the Xbox

ataripitbull, I got bad news for you, I doubt many people who were involved in that video have any idea what Atari is, it was thrown in there for more of a "retro-fashion statement."

What more offensive is that said rapper spells his name F-A-B-O-L-O-U-S.

Since when is the first "U" and "O". Ghetto Fabolous needs to go back to skool.

skatepunk, skatepunk, skatepunk. You should know better. Ol' Stan is a big hip-hop/rap fan. I just wish that some of the more mainstreamers would act like intelligent human beings and stop trying to front and be all "thug" like. You can really enjoy hip-hop and rap if you refuse to take it seriously and laugh at all those goofballs posturing and trying to be all big.

I had a pong system as a kid. Yer better off with Video Olympics.

Dude, that's not Rap music starting fights...that's just people not acting their ages. How many fights break out over a comment about Mozart or Elvis these days. None. But many did when they were alive.

I once was involved in a brawl over Ford and Chevrolet trucks.

Like any music genre, you sometimes need to wade through a lot of garbage to get the good stuff.

It's the whole "Thug Life" mentality. Weed, money, hoes and thuggin', that's what it all seems to be about. Just look at the song titles on most of the CDs... one of those four topics pretty much sums up every single song on them. I know some of them aren't at all serious about it, that it's all pretty much just an act, but there are plenty that think they're all that. DJ Clue, Tupac, Nas, Cash Money Millionaires (or pretty much anyone on CashMoney records for that matter) -- even the kiddie rappers like Lil' Bow Wow and Lil' Wayne seem to have something to say about thuggin' ... it can almost become self-mocking sometimes.

Not that I'm against rap/hip hop; it's not my thing, but to each their own. I just think it gets too high on itself sometimes.

Has it ever occured to you that maybe some of these people are thuggin? Cash Money is in my hometown and their stuff was good b4 they signed with universal. However, since they went national, all these other guys are beatin' a dead horse. Just my thoughts!

Felix you said it....As soon as they "sold out"

I am an old school punk but you can really get into some of todays hip/hop. Dont knock it until you have heard the real stuff. Try these out and then tell me it is all about thuggin and ridding out on some duece dubbs.

Pharakoan(sp)

Mos Def

Tribe called quest

Roots

OutKast(you cant tell me all these guys rap about is hoes and money)

I'd be hard pressed to tell you what Outkast does rap about! I really like their stuff though. Its not your everyday common "thug rap."

All that "thug" nonsense is just that: nonsense. Its little men trying to look big. That's why I can't take it seriously and probably why I enjoy it. Its silly.

Wow! I haven't listened to rap since my days skateboarding, since way back when.

Then I got into the Misfits, Stiff Little Fingers & The Exploited. Ahh, sweet punk!

Stan, here is an example of where I'd take advantage of the "Split Thread" feature in the forum software we'll be running soon.
