+johnnywc #1 Posted March 21, 2002 Hello everyone, I have been playing Save Mary! on the PCAE emulator and I can't save her for the life of me!! I can get her to climb pretty high, but it appears that I can't get her far enough left or right to get out of the canyon. It seems that the blocks will crumble when dropped a certain way sometimes and not others. Does anybody know the rule of thumb to use here? I can't stand to see that little girl die again... Help!! PS Fantastic game! Here's hoping that this one is finally released with full color label, box, and instruction manual! Thanks,
Inky #2 Posted March 21, 2002 Some people love this game, others hate it. I love it. The trick is, once you have the ground she's on high enough, you have to pick her up with your crane and set her down on the sides of the screen.
atarimastermarty #3 Posted March 22, 2002 I love the game, when my emulator was working I played it so much. If someone doesn't release it Ill find a way to.

+johnnywc #5 Posted March 22, 2002 Thank you all for your help. I was able to save Mary three times in one game (standard skill level) for a whooping score of 12,685!!! Does anybody know if the difficulty switches do anything in this game? I must say I'm even more impressed with the game now that I've moved on to level 2, 3 and 4. The different shaped blocks really give it a Tetris-type feel and really make the game interesting and certainly more challenging. Of course, the water rising quicker and the blocks coming out faster really get the blood pumping. Then, of course, is the moment of truth when you have to choose between grabbing the 500 point bonus or concentrating on saving Mary... Today's poll: If you're playing Save Mary! and she's about to drown, is it more humane to let her drown or crush her with a block? My vote: crush her with the block (the Ol' Yeller syndrome) Thanks,
+johnnywc #6 Posted March 22, 2002 Well, I was able to get to level 7 and score 23,275 points. Man - this game gets really frantic by then! I did some searches on the net and found some pretty scatching reviews on this game. I find the game quite entertaining and once you know what you're doing it can be very enjoyable and challenging. I hope people give this one a chance and, more importantly, release this one on a cart!
Tempest #7 Posted March 22, 2002 I find Save Mary to be a fun game, but it can get a little boring after awile. I own an early version of it which has some differences from the final (and some cool bugs). You can see it on my prototype page here: http://www.msu.edu/user/reicher6/prototype...ed/savemary.htm I have a better review of it on my new page (complete with pictures from my version), but its still under construction. Its coming soon though, I promise. Tempest
