power joy III?

anyone know where i can buy one for like 20 bucks or cheaper? cause i want it tp play famicom games...it can play nes games with an adapter right?

I got mine from a guy on ioffer.com for $23 shipped. I am sticking it in a original Gameboy case and use a 2.5" hipgear LCD. They have a bunch of games builtin so I won't use the cart slot.

these things are novelty items, unless you plan on modding it up you wont play it for more than an hour or two. trying to play NES games on a stiff N64 controller is lame, button placement isnt really what it should be. forget about play NES carts on it, yes you can buy an adapter but then you have the huge NES cart dangling out the bottom if thing. between the cheap cart slot and adapter your NES cart will wobble loose during play. if you still wanna go the famiclone route i would suggest getting one of the ones that have a console base to plug the cart into, like the mini PSones that were at every flea market last year.

Those PSOne shaped Famiclones are still at my local flea market.

 

I agree, don't get a Super Joy III to play NES games with. That cartridge port isn't really made for having a cartridge converter and an American NES cartridge sticking out of it. But if you absolutely have to get one, check a local flea market or dollar store. They should be around $20, that's how much I paid for mine.

 

I come across Super Joy III units in thrift stores all the time. Along with stuff like the Activision 10-in-1, the JakksPacific Atari stick, and the Intellivision 10-in-1. They usually price them at regular console joystick prices, which is good. It's nice to pick these things up for around $3.

What's up with those LCD projectors he's selling? I know the shipping is $79, but still... how can there be a $199 LCD projector? I guess it's because it's only 200-300 lumens?
