differences between 130XE - 7800

Please, someone could explain (or refer) hardware and programming differences between a 130XE and 7800. I know 7800 have superior posibilities, like more colors, sprites, etc. But really I want to know about that.

7800 has nothing in common except the 6502 with the 800... no vram (except 2 scanlines ram) and the concept behind MARIA chip is completly different. don't get confused about "display list list" as its not the same like on atari800... btw. playstation1 has display list as well...or was it called "object list"... you should read MARIA docs...
