Wanted: Any Atari console.

Recommended Posts

I've been here at AtariAge for two years and l have an announcement to make. I'm sad to say that I don't even own an Atari. :( I was wondering if anyone can help me out with correcting this problem. Please help. I feel left out with people talking about consoles and the only close thing I have to an Atari is an emulator.

Don't feel sad, Don't be upset.

There are many Atari's to go around, but you will have to shell out some

money to enjoy some of that retro charm.

There are collectors in your very own state who would be more than

happy to sell you your very own Atari, complete with the most exciting

and beloved games owned by hundreds and thousands if not millions of

people this world over.

But ask yourself these two questions:

A) Do you *really* like these games? or do you just think they are neat?

B) would you be willing to spend 30-50 dollars to get a console, controllers,

and a big lot of games just to play games you may not like as much as

a brand new game?

Here is my advice to you.

Wait for the Flashback 2 to hit a Wal-mart near you. When you see one,

have your parents (or yourself if you have a job)

buy it for you, its moderately priced.

It is a genuine Atari made by the company called Atari, it has lots of

games.

THEN

If you find you love it more than ANYTHING in the world,

Go and get yourself that Atari. You buy it and you love it like its the best

damn thing you could imagine yourself buying.

God Bless you. Thanks a lot again. BTW, I know about the Flashback 2. I hate InfoAtari. They try to rip off homebrewers. They will get no money from me until they stop picking on the little guy. Plus, I thought Hasbro(other owners of Atari) released the rights into public domain for homebrewing. Even Activision put a few on Anthology.

I dare you to make a new casing for it made out of popsicle sticks or wood. :D

Give it a try and let us know how it turns out. What else are you gonna do with it?

You people are sick! It's threads like this (complete with pictures) that make me think "wow, OK, at least I'm not THAT bad..."

I sold off my NES stuff and just use the Dreamcast. Too many darn blinking red lights.

I think that reply (check it out) has to do with the original post, not the one about NES.

I have an Atari 7800 now. I'm surprised this topic hasn't been locked yet.

Easy question, easy answer.

Put a window where the game goes in, so you can see the game while you are playing it, surround it with LED's, and do a custom paint job. And don't forget to overclock it.
