Atari-Jess #1 Posted March 24, 2002 hey peoples, I decided i want a BBS so i found some software and here it is, its running of my PC and its not online all the time. telnet://acdbbs.cjb.net its mainly about my Atari computer database, Im trying to make it cool, please give suggestions in message boards or email! Thanks!
Atari-Jess #2 Posted March 24, 2002 its working right as of now.. if not give it a minute connect via this link
Atari-Jess #3 Posted March 24, 2002 ok that link doesn't work just type in your browser telnet://acdbbs.cjb.net and try to get a program that is better than telnet but make sure it doesn't have a "see what you type then press enter to enter commands" type program or it wont work. its work as you type! Doc4 #4 Posted March 24, 2002 I can't seem to use it. My computer says it doesn't support it.
Atari-Jess #5 Posted March 24, 2002 well the host should be acdbbs.cjb.net and the port should be 23 or whatever the default is normally for BBS's i made sure of that... im actually using a dos based telnet client... keep reporting if you are/aren't able to get on... Atari Master #23 Posted March 25, 2002 Go here... http://forums.asp-dev.co.uk/ You can get free boards hosted and all. It's mutch better than having a board on some of the time.
Atari-Jess #24 Posted March 25, 2002 Hmm You dont seem to understand what a BBS is now do you? its not the fact that it has a message board, its the fact that its so much more than that. ask any old timer BBS'er s/he can explain it better than i could. I already have a message board but a BBS is just better. I suppose some people just cant grasp that idea. BTW its online right now.
