+RangerG #1 Posted August 22, 2005 I had probably my best find ever this weekend ($5 at a flea market) - a mint NES Cheetahmen II. This is partly a brag I admit and maybe I should post it in finds, but even after looking on the net a bit I am confused by this game. Instead of looking more, I know someone here will have the information. First - Is there anyway for me to tell that the game is not Action 52? At first I though somehow the wrong game was in the box, but everything on the web says they used the same case. I don't have a NES at the moment to test it on, so how can I tell if it is Cheetahmen II. Also, am I missing the instructions? It seems like I am, but maybe they didn't come with the game? Thanks for the replies! RG

Thanks for the replies! RG 915902[/snapback] If it has a sticker on the back of the cart that says "Cheetamen II" (yes they spelled it wrong ) then that's what it is. Some did not have a sticker though. Another way to tell is by looking at the board itself. The Action 52 board is completely covered with ROM chips. The Cheetahmen II board is mostly barren. By looking at your picture, I'd say there's a 99.9% chance that you have a Cheetahmen II cart. BTW, finding one of these in the wild is extremely rare as almost all of them were sold directly to collectors (the game was never officially released or sold anywhere). Where did you find it (city, state, etc) and was it sealed or open? Finally, Congrats!
Dr. Morbis #3 Posted August 22, 2005 Oh, and by the way, it did NOT come with instructions. A complete copy is the cart, box, and little warning sheet of paper.
+RangerG #4 Posted August 22, 2005 Thanks Dr. Morbis. It doesn't have a sticker, but I'm sure now that it is complete and the Cheetahmen II cart if it didn't come with instructions and after what you said. It is in mint shape, but it is opened. The woman told me that she played it a few times and couldn't stand the game. It was in with about seven other used NES games at a typical flea market stand near Panama City, Florida. Great find for me and really interesting if it wasn't released. Take care.
Lord Thag #5 Posted August 22, 2005 Nice. A buddy of mine bought his for $200, if you can believe that. It's one of those rare and really sucky games. Still, looks great as a centerpiece!
