Styx for the 2600? Is this real?

Hello, evryone I just heard that a friend of mine claims she has styx for the 2600. Is this real? I can't seem to find any info on it anywhwhere. How can this be, I thought she might be talking about Journey but she insists it's not.

Have you actually shown her the Journey game? I'm pretty much convinced that's what she means, and if you show her, she'll recant. If not, ask her for details of gameplay. I've certainly never heard of a Styx game...

 

(Or does she mean "Stix" as in 5200 Qix?)

Ive never heard of a "styx" game either.

 

I know my "no" isnt as effective as Russ's but from my vast knowledge ive never heard of one

she said it had music by th eband in it. I think it might be journey but she is adamant that it isn't. Something about a space ship traveling through a cityscape or landscape. I am very confused.

Hmmm... well, in Journey Escape, you were in a spaceship... a lame game indeed....

It definitely sounds like Journey Escape. If you check out the instruction manual, it says something about playing music in that. There is a spaceship also involved. If that manual isn't online, I'll read it when I go home and let you know. BTW, I saw Journey (and Foreigner) in Virginia Beach in '99. They STILL rock (from what I can remember).

But in journey you don't control the spaceship. Maybe I can get her to find the thing. I found a game for styx for the computer, IBM, I wonder if maybe thats what she is talking about. She's pretty pigheaded though and will probably never give in that she is wrong.

I don't think there is a Styx game. Although she may be confused since for some reason there are robots in Journey Escape.

 

But all this does give me an idea for a hack...

Did she tell you what song(s) were in the game? If you can find this out you can figure out if she means Journey or not.
