Excalibur for FF9

I'm just wondering something: I'm at the end of Disc 3 of FF9 now (before going to terra) and the magical Fingertip doesn't show in the Treno Auction House. Does it only appear in Disc 4 and after you sell off the 4 items? On the 4 items when can I sell them off to try to get the Fingertip, on Disc 4 only?
