Could this have been the problem with my 2600?

Recommended Posts

The RF wire wasent loose but it was out of one of it's things on the shell. So it was sort of loose but not on the board.

The little things on the wire, you know, the ones that hold the RF cable. One wasent in the little thing.

If you have no RF output, disassemble the machine and resolder any cracked joints on the board where the cable plugs in. If you do not feel comfortable, there are plenty of us on the board that could help.

If the wire itself is bad, that is an easy fix. Get a cheap RCA cable and replace the original one with it. Simple as that. Sometimes the modern RCA's center pole is a hair too long for the old socket inside the 2600, so you just cut the end of it off so it fits.
